Generous readers help disabled Wandsworth rescue cat
Generous readers have already pledged £500 to help save a cat who was born without eyelids.
Danny, a three-month-old shorthaired tabby cat, was born with no top eyelids - a rare condition which leaves him with hair in his eyes, causing him constant pain and discomfort.
Last week his Battersea owners approached the Wandsworth Borough News for help in raise £3,000 needed to pay for a pioneering operation and other costs.
If they do not raise the cash Danny might have to be put to sleep.
