Kitten and cat’s litter box
Despite all the concerns of the new cat parents, most kittens already come housetrained in the house. Small cats are already very mature when it comes to cleanliness. This is due to the instinct that they inherited from their wild ancestors, but also their own ability.
Cat and cleaning instinct
Cats brush treacherous odors from their fur and dig in soil or cat litter instinctively, to conceal their excretions. In nature that helps the little hunters, to keep concealed - not just against potential loot, but also against rivals and enemies.
Many worm eggs and larvae are taken up by the animals because of the frequent washing. The life cycle of the worms can only be broken through a regular worm's treatment. Therefore it is important to deworm the kitten in the second, fourth, sixth and eighth week of life, worming, then monthly until they are half a year old and after that, at least every three months.
Use of the litter box The kitten imitates its mother in both the use of the litter box as well as the washing. The kittens can already wash their own fur themselves at the young age of six weeks. At the age of twelve weeks they are old enough to move into their own home and are therefore housetrained. A little help is welcome: the kittens prefer to use extra little litter boxes with a low entry rather than a big cat litter box and an additional litter box is also better placed in large spaces, so that the way to it is not that long.
Best place for the cat litter box
The litter boxes are best placed on quiet, but for the little cat easily accessible spots, far away from the food and the place to sleep. The best thing is that man shows the toilet immediately upon arrival. This opportunity is usually gratefully accepted. Consequence helps in case that, despite a regular cleaned litter box, you don’t manage to let the kittens go onto them. Put the kitten on the litter box in the early morning or late in the evening and after each meal, and reward it after a successful number one or two.
